 Performance

With the large market in Nigeria, there has been increase in products (Lubes & Chemical) demand, which has also necessitated the increase in trucks used for transportation of these lubricants.

We started this transportation service in 2003 by going into partnership with other transporters, but have since improved our service delivery by having our own trucks.

Due to our efficiency and effectiveness in our logistics service to Oando in terms of quality and timeliness, it has differentiated us from other transporters in the Oando fleet, which has made us to be chosen as the exclusive transporter of their products

Oando Plc has a central blending plant located in Kaduna where the lubes are produced and then transported to other parts of the Country.
Magcom Limited transports these products in cartons, drums and kegs between the various states of the Federation.

Solutions

Before now Oando Plc was operating a divisional structure system where they had warehouses in all parts of the country, raw materials, and even goods produced were stored, and transported to the various stations and different suppliers within these divisions. These products mainly lubricants with an annual volume of over 18 million litres and value of over $40m required an efficient transporter that could rise up to the challenge which Magcom Limited has done by increasing our fleet to meet Oando’s demand.

Oando has currently gone through a process of restructuring leading to the closure of most of their warehouses within the country and expanding to other West African’s countries in the supply and movement of their products.
Due to the closure of the warehouses, they now operate a branch structure where they have (4) main warehouses only in the major zones of the country from where these products will be transported.

        Lagos    - To serve the South West
        PH    - To serve the South East
        Kaduna - To serve Kano/Jos areas
        Benin    - To serve the Benin area

This has necessitated the need for more trucks to be made available to ease the movement of their products from these warehouses sparsely located around the country to the branches and suppliers in need of these products.
